Guillermo de Haro is a distinguished professional who has seamlessly blended his passion for academia with a flourishing career in business and management. He holds a telecommunications engineering degree, an MBA Cum Laude from IE Business School, and two PhDs in engineering and applied economics. Guillermo’s extensive experience as an Academic Director at prestigious institutions and his role as Associate Vice-Rector for International Relations and Graduate Programs at Rey Juan Carlos University highlight his commitment to education and leadership.

 

Throughout his career, Guillermo has collaborated with industry giants like Google to create impactful programs such as Google Activate, which significantly improved employability for Spanish youth during the financial crisis. His diverse professional background spans software development, technology, consulting, retail, and entertainment, having held key positions at companies like AvanGroup, Socintec, Workcenter SGD, and Technicolor. His entrepreneurial ventures and advisory roles further underscore his multifaceted expertise.

 

As an author and thought leader, Guillermo has contributed to respected journals and media outlets, including MIT Sloan, HBR, and Capital Radio’s “El Espectador Económico.” His work encompasses a range of multimedia content, from educational apps to economics-themed comics, demonstrating his ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging. Currently, Guillermo serves as Vice Dean and Academic Director of Graduate Programs at IE University’s School of Science & Technology.
