Henry May
Henry May is a distinguished social entrepreneur and educator, renowned for founding Coschool and The Huracan Foundation. A TedX speaker, Henry’s initiatives have positively impacted over 55,000 lives in 30 countries. Named one of the “Global Meaningful Business Leaders of 2021,” he is celebrated for bridging the gap between public and private schools. Under his leadership, Coschool has gained international recognition for educational innovation, with its platform Edumocion providing socio-emotional learning resources across Latin America. Coschool, backed by Acumen and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, launched AFSEC, Colombia’s pioneering socio-emotional learning alliance with over 50 member organizations. The Huracan Foundation has supported and accelerated more than 40 football and education projects led by Teach for All participants globally. Henry holds academic degrees in theology and secondary education and lives in Bogotá with his family. In his free time, he is a passionate ultramarathon runner.
He is an experienced public speaker, having given over 50 public addresses including a TEDx Talks on the importance of holistic teacher training. He also provide coaching and mentoring to other entrepreneurs in the education sector.
