Marco Sanjuan

Dr. Marco Sanjuan is the Managing Director of Innovation at Promigas, a natural gas and energy markets company. He is also Director of the company’s Research and Innovation Center in Energy and Gas, which coordinates the innovation effort for Promigas and 11 subsidiaries in Colombia and Peru. Dr. Sanjuan leads the development and execution of Promigas’ R&D and innovation strategy and runs the company’s innovation model promoting articulated actions involving business development, sustainability, and operational

areas.

He holds a Master of Science and a Doctoral degree majoring in engineering sciences from the University of South Florida (USA). He graduated in 1995 as a mechanical engineer from Universidad del Norte (Colombia), earning certificates in informatics and industrial automation. His research interests are energy systems control, fault detection and diagnosis, hybridization of renewable and non-renewable energy sources, and process optimization and control.
