Dr. Ali Rashed Bin Ghaith Alsuwaidi
Ali Rashed Bin Ghaith Alsuwaidi became the CIO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in 2019. With a commitment to propelling technological disruption, fostering digital transformation, and nurturing a culture of innovation within DEWA. Dr. Alsuwaidi participated in DubaiSat-1 and DubaiSat-2 Launches and was also involved in several research activities where he developed several tools for environmental applications based on satellite imagery and spatial data. He received a Business Engineer degree in communication engineering from Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2007. He received a Master of Science degree in 2011 and a PhD degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 2018, both from The University of Manchester in Manchester, UK.
