Dr. Kelly is a Professor of Strategy and Leadership at the University of La Verne College of Business and Public Management She has a PhD in Strategic Management from Concordia University, Montreal. She specializes in international strategic leadership research- looking at top management team leadership from a social networks perspective. She has published widely in the area of top management team leadership in such journals as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship, International Journal of Management Decision Making, Academy of Administrative Sciences and the Journal of World Business. 

 

She is co-author of ā€œAn Existential Systems Approach to Managing Organizationsā€ (Quorum Press 1998). Dr. Kelly has consulted for firms in Canada, US, Mexico, Kenya and Vietnam. She is a co-founder of GlobalMind Center for Strategic Consulting and has been designated an Outstanding Scholar by the US federal government based on her international scholarship and publications. She also co-wrote ā€œA Dictionary of Strategy: Strategic Management A-Zā€ (Sage 2004) and her latest book is ā€œThe Psychologist Manager: Success Models for Psychologists in Executive Positionsā€ (2012, Hogrefe) as well as an edited two volume set for Praeger entitled, ā€œEntrepreneurial Women: New Leadership and Management Modelsā€ forthcoming in 2014. 

 In 2013 she was voted Outstanding Professor at Alliant School of Management and was invited on to the National Executive Board of the Academy of Managementā€™s Sigma Iota Epsilon which is dedicated to excellence and ethics in business as a professional practice. She was invited on the National Executive Board because Alliantā€™s chapter, under her faculty leadership, won chapter of the year two years in a row out of 71 national chapters.
